… vibrates with the frequency of the divine feminine, of the unconditionally maternal. it is the seat of our emotional core, of our ability to receive & give love, which we learned through our family, especially our mother, whose body nurtured us for nine long months & who gave us life & tended to us thereafter.
what download did you get about feeling, about receiving & giving love?
jupiter, the guru, the teacher, in cancer has been bringing these lessons bigly front & center, asking us to resolve issues with our mother & how we mother, to confront (gently!) our emotional blocks/limitations, our psychological wounds.

… is ruled by brihaspati, the guru (speaking of gurus) of the gods, their priest & advisor, their source of wisdom. puṣya means “the nourisher” & nourishes us, like brihaspati, with the truth, by expanding our consciousness. which, unless we are walking a totally spiritual path, isn’t generally a pleasant experience. but/& like a lotus, which is not only born in the mud & muck but is nourished by it, thrives on it & rises out of it to flower gorgeously, so can we.
aśleṣā …
… is ruled by the nagas—yesssss, those slimy, slithery, serpenty creatures who love to remind us of our negative/unhealthy attachments—to people, to emotions, to situations—so we can ask why the heck we are clinging to them, what lesson we get to learn from them, what wisdom we can extract so we can move on.
the tenth lunar day (tithi), …
… the tenth phase of the waning moon, is ruled by goddess nitya. nitya means “eternal.” her devotees call her nityamba, “the eternal mother” (amba)—so very cancer! she helps us recognize the eternal (at least up until now!) patterns in our life that have created the life we are living, the path we are walking.
if you are confused about whether you are walking in the right direction, fulfilling your dharma, your purpose, that’s a good thing—for it is only when something gets stirred up/churned within that the truth can arise, eventually but inevitably, & you can course-correct if need be.

… is ruled by moon, who also rules cancer & whose mantra is “can’t we all just get along?!” what can you do today to create more belongingness, more inclusivity, more connection, more unconditional love?
