aquarius …
… is where we want to do our part to create what sacred activist charles eisenstein calls the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible, the world we want to live in, the world we want our children & grandchildren & great-grandchildren to live in.
the key word is part. we can’t fix the whole world by ourselves, but we can do our part, fix a part, big or small, to make it more beautiful.

what’s within your reach?
śatabhiṣak …
… means “100 healers/doctors/medicines” & is ruled by rahu, the out-of-the-box thinker, the rebel who is willing to, say, walk out of a doctor’s office mid-consultation (as a friend did recently) b/c the doctor isn’t listening, is trying to force unacceptable treatments on him. is willing to dig & dig & dig to uproot the truth & find the cure.
but/& this star is mostly concerned with our consciousness, for how we perceive our illness or pain is in our mind, isn’t it? it reminds us that we are ultimately the cause of our suffering & of our healing.
the first lunar day (tithi), …
… the first phase of the waning moon, & we are still (or is it just me?) dropped into the full moon/lunar eclipse energy/reveals, still grappling with, sitting with whatever earthquake, small or large the lunar eclipse facilitated in us.
it was the counterpart to the solar eclipse two weeks ago, in cancer/āśleṣa. if the solar eclipse revealed, say, an unhealthy emotional/psychological attachment, the lunar eclipse’s job was to help you untie that knot, release that stranglehold.
the untangling process can be slow, the eclipse opens a six-month window, so be patient with yourself.
what got shook up or shook loose?
rahu & ketu, …
… who are the instigators of eclipses, have been sitting in aquarius & leo, respectively, for the past fifteen months or so & will be moving on to other signs in a coupla months. whatever houses aquarius & leo represent for you is where your work has been, have held the secrets to your karmic issues (we’ve all got them!). this axis of houses is where we’ve been called to harmonize the energies of rahu (desire/experience) & ketu ((detachment/purification). rahu wants more, ketu less.
this last pair of eclipses in the aquarius-leo cycle brings an opportunity to blast through those issues, to burn those karmic seeds once & for all, be made cleanup artists. we’re not going to get another chance for another eighteen years, so why wait?

… is ruled by venus, who, according to his own personal mantra, is “the embodiment of knowledge, wisdom & the power to teach & transmit every form of learning.”
most people think of jupiter as the teacher, not venus, but venus is a teacher as well, & teaches us through experience, through relating to others, through our embodied existence.
