it’s thursday, june 11, moon is in aries, in the starspace called aśvinī, it’s the eleventh phase of the waning moon & jupiter’s day.
focus of attention
aries is ruled by fiery mars, who wants to act, get ‘er done, make something happen, & who sometimes acts first & thinks later. the upside is not getting stuck in our heads, wondering whether we can or should, whether what we are inspired to do is realistic, possible. we just start doing, consequences be damned—we can deal with those later if necessary.
to put one brick upon another,
add a third & then a fourth,
leaves no time to wonder whether
what you do has any worth.
but to sit with bricks around you
while the winds of heaven bawl
weighing what you should or can do
leaves no doubt of it at all.

what would you do, what enterprise or project would you start if you didn’t care what others would think, if you weren’t worried about its viability, if you didn’t doubt yourself, question your impulse?
mental/emotional direction
aśvinī is rules by the aśvin kumara, twin horse gods who were related to ayurveda, so there’s potential for healing as fast as a horse out of the starting gate. but/& horses represent prana, our vital life force, which, if not channeled in one direction, can easily be dispersed every which way.
i def don’t condone horse racing, but we can take a page from that sport & note that those horses are single-mindedly focussed on the finish line, on beating all the other horses, going as fast as they can to win.
get ‘er done quickly by focussing your precious faculties of intention & attention. if you need help focussing, pranayama will be your friend.
emotional support
the eleventh lunar day (tithi), the eleventh phase of the waning moon, is associated with spiritual practices, especially fasting, b/c the mind is said to be the least bizzy & buzzy, the most conducive to divine intervention. taking a sacred pause (a timeout from our regularly scheduled life, including our meals) can facilitate a deeper connection with ourselves & with god/universal consciousness.
this particular eleventh tithi can bring huge rewards (abundance!) for our efforts, & so we are invited to fast from grains (so much for the everything bagel with vegan cream cheese i was craving!), legumes & cereals; to donate clothes (check!) or food to those in need; to chant the vishnu sahasranamam (1,000 names of vishnu)—or maybe listen to it.
any & all efforts are welcome!
quality of energy
thursday is jupiter’s day, & he’s the guru, the great teacher, the bringer of wisdom. thursday is always a good day to honor our teachers, show our gratitude for them, & one of the best ways we can do that is by passing on their teachings, sharing them with others, being models of their wisdom. to, as shri brahmananda sarasvati said, “be wise or otherwise.”
🌘🙏✨
the daily bliss is 100% human generated! the act of creation is intrinsic to being human—when we give up our agency to create, we cease, little by little, to be fully human.
may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little (or a lot!) more bliss in your life.
