it’s monday, april 11, & moon is in cancer, in the starspace called ashlesha. cancer vibrates with the frequency of unconditional love, the kind of love a mother has for a child, the kind of love that asks for nothing in return, has no expectations, no judgments, that just flows & flows & flows, uncensored, unmediated, outward from the heart. love is a flow, love is the creative force of the universe, & in the environment of cancer, we get to feel into, be, that flow.
ashlesha is associated with serpent energy, so think “coiling,” “embracing,” “entwining,” “clinging,” maybe even, um, “strangling”—also “poison” & “toxin.” this asterism brings a lesson about what toxic energy we are clinging to—people, projects, ideas, beliefs, emotions—& supports us in bringing it out into the light of day, staring it down, asking ourselves what purpose it serves, thanking it for its service & then releasing it. the road to our most authentic expression of self is paved with people & beliefs & emotions & ways of being that don’t support our highest purpose. it’s a good day to free ourselves, to uncling, from what no longer serves.
it’s the tenth lunar day, the tenth phase of the waxing moon, which is related to dharma, aligning with the truth of who we are & fulfilling our purpose, which means expressing the fullness of the truth of who we are. aubrey marcus, one of my favorite podcasters, truth-seekers & light-workers, puts it this way: “the more you wake up to who you are, the more unbearable it becomes to be who you are not.” so the question today is, are you denying your truth or celebrating it? are you shrinking from it, or embracing the bigness of it, of who you are? b/c we all get to be big, b/c the world needs all of us to be big & each of us stepping into our bigness gives others permission & inspiration to step into their bigness. can you imagine the world we could create if everyone was aligned with their bigness, if everyone were shining the light of truth? wow—what a concept!
monday is ruled by the moon, planet of connection. we can connect to others only to the degree that we are connected to ourselves.
