it’s thursday, april 14, & moon is in virgo, in the starspace called uttaraphalguni. virgo vibrates with the frequency of paying attention to all the unsexy (unless you are a virgo!) details of life that sustain it. like, if the roof is leaking or crumbling, we need to fix it—um, could someone remind my landlord that she was going to put a new roof on my house twelve years ago!!! i guess i should just thank goddess that it doesn’t leak, but one more storm & who knows?! what’s on your needs-to-be-fixed agenda?
uttaraphalguni is known as “the marriage star” & is ruled by aryaman, the deity of friendly contracts based on mutual benefit. this asterism brings a lesson about the good fortune we will reap if we make sure our contracts, whether formal or informal, are founded in the best interests of all parties, in good will, in love. if you are signing a contract today, or making a serious commitment, make sure you are doing so with heart & soul alignment.
it’s the thirteenth lunar day, the thirteenth phase of the waxing moon, which is related to kamadeva, the hindu cupid. it’s a good day to be with the one(s) you love (which could be you!) doing the things you love, that bring you joy.
thursday is owned by jupiter, planet of expansion & beliefs, of faith that we are part of something bigger than what we can experience empirically. & jupiter just moved into pisces, which will be his happy home base for the next year. pisces is the most metaphysical sign, where we learn to surrender more & more into all that is, trust more & more that the universe/god/the divine has our back. it’s a process! & as jupiter moves through pisces over the coming year, we have an opportunity to trust more & more, surrender more & more, develop more & more faith, which is called “shraddha.” shraddha is not blind faith but faith that is cultivated & deepened over time as we accrue the kind of evidence that can’t necessarily be named or pointed at but that can only be felt in the heart as true knowing that we are one with all that is.
