it’s wednesday, april 20, & moon is in scorpio, in the starspace called jyeshtha until noon mountain time, then leaps over the gandanta, the hard border between scorpio & sagittarius, & moves into sag, in the starspace called mula. whereas scorpio vibrates with the frequency of our irrational fears (um, let’s face it, unless we’re being chased by a tiger or are about to be bit by a poisonous viper, our fears are largely irrational, right?) & paranoias b/c of a too-narrow, too-limited focus, sagittarius vibrates with the frequency of the hope that comes from being able to pull back, see the big picture, take comfort in the divine wisdom that creates a safe container for our lives. do note that there is no starry bridge between scorpio & sag, that our mind/consciousness will feel unsupported, so do, um, mind that gap!

jyeshtha means “eldest” & brings a lesson about how we wield our authority, about whether we take our responsibilities for those under our care seriously & generously or whether we do so to exploit others or puff up our egos. mula means “root” & brings a lesson about yanking out by the roots anything or anyone that doesn’t serve our highest expression of ourselves. hey, it’s spring-cleaning time, so a perfect excuse to get serious about purging our lives (inside & out) of clutter—the more physical & psychic space we can make, the more room there is for what will serve to expand us, allow us to shine brighter, be all we are meant to be. how much can you toss or donate? how much room can you make for new miracles?

it’s the fifth lunar day, the fifth phase of the waning moon, which is connected to healing & creative acts. am i the only one who could use a little healing after the past two days of a scorpio moon? the only one who is feeling creative juices flowing after that dive into & unpacking of shadow?

wednesday is ruled by mercury, who is known as hermes in greek mythology. hermes is the messenger & so is mercury, who loves to share ideas, loves to talk. not everyone is always ready to hear what we have to say, receive our message, but we can still plant seeds by sharing our words wisely & intentionally & compassionately, be inclusive rather than exclusive with them.

& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
