it’s tuesday, april 23, & moon is in libra, in the starspace called chitra until 11 a.m. MDT, then swati, where moon will be full as full later today. & it’s not any full moon, but the full moon celebrating hanuman’s bday. & not only that, but full moon is accompanied by an exalted venus & aspected by jupiter & exalted sun—woo-hoo! so let’s unpack all that, shall we?
libra is the sign of relationships—all of them, from the ones connected to business to those connected to pleasure. venus rules libra & libra is associated, appropriately, with the heart chakra. with venus, planet of love & abundance, in his power place in pisces, we are being invited to uplevel our relationship standards, our capacity to love & connect.
but/& when moon is full, venus will be in the part of pisces where karmic knots get revealed & untied. not only that but retrograde mercury, also in pisces, his sign of debilitation, will be hugging rahu. so we won’t be thinking clearly, & will experience doubt &/or confusion, which are all pretty much variations on mental smoke & mirrors.
hold those thoughts!
swati (see yesterday’s post for chitra) is the birth nakshatra of hanuman, who represents devotion, power, strength & determination. the thing about hanuman is that he was born with all those superpowers, but he misused them & so was cursed with forgetting he had them, with forgetting who he was & what he was capable of. it wasn’t until he humbled himself in service to lord rama, found something/someone to be devoted to, that he discovered his true purpose, which rama reminded him of. & that’s when he got his mojo back.
putting all that together: our moon work for the waning cycle entails humbly using the intelligence of our hearts rather than our mental faculties to rise in service to our highest relationship standards. if that means letting someone go, so be it, but don’t rush into any decisions. ask yourself who you are devoted to & whether they are equally devoted to you. are your relationships dharmic or karmic? that is, do your people reflect your superpowers back to you or do they feel like kryptonite? do they vitalize you like the greenest green juice or make you crash like pepsi? & remember: just as with hanuman, strength & determination are yours when you open your heart & remember your true identity. who reminds you of who you really are? may you get your relationship mojo back!
