it’s friday, april 30, & moon is in sagittarius, in the starspace called mula. after the confusion wrought by scorpio, we find refuge in a belief system in sagittarius. everyone believes something, but not everyone realizes how that belief colors how they see the world, their life, their actions. & not every belief system provides a container for thriving, for fulfilling our highest purpose. sagittarius asks us to consider what we believe & whether it aligns with our goals, whether our beliefs facilitate us in manifesting the world we want to see.
mula teaches us to not just let go, but to yank out, pull up by the roots (the mulas), what doesn’t serve us. there is a fierce, take-no-prisoners, totally badass quality to this asterism, which is ruled by niritti, perhaps the darkest of dark goddesses, who evoked knee-quivering fear in the rg veda, as she was the embodiment of destruction, calamity, corruption & death. rather than quake in her presence, how can you invoke niritti, harness your own power to destroy your own darkness, today? the gods, the deities, are not “out there” but qualities within each of us. tap into your pantheon!
it’s the fifth lunar day, the fifth phase of the waning moon. just as mula invites us to get rid of what doesn’t serve, yank out the weeds of our life that keep us from thriving, this tithi supports healing routines, taking medicine, detoxification (whether mental, emotional, psychological or physical).
friday is infused with the energy of venus, which is, in part, our ability to love & be loved, to share in our embodied existence with others.
