it’s friday, april 7, & moon is in libra, in the starspace called swati. libra is the environment of relationships, all kinds—business, familial, platonic, romantic, fleeting or forever. (see yesterday’s post for more thoughts about what relationship means.) unlike cancer, which is ruled by the moon & who wants us to love selflessly on everyone, libra is ruled by venus, who wants us to give only as good as we get, wants our relationships to be mutually beneficial, which means being mutually in our integrity. the common denominator of all relationships is “i,” which happens to be the first letter of “integrity.” i’m going to go out on a limb & say that since the people we associate with, our relationships, are reflections of who we are, if we are not in integrity with others & they are not showing up in integrity with us, it means we aren’t in integrity with ourselves. think about it. integrity means being our word, it means treating others as we would have others treat us, with respect & honesty & dignity; it means bringing all of ourselves into presence with our people. it means not promising more than we can deliver & not accepting less than we’ve been promised or need & owning the lapse when it happens, b/c it will—none of us is perfect—& making amends when it does. libra wants us to play fair in relationship—do you?
swati is ruled by vayu, the wind god, so on the one hand it’s a good day to disperse our message—hit “send” on that email campaign, network, write query letters & proposals, be diplomatic—& on the other we are reminded to beware of being all over the place, like the wind, to contain & focus our prana, our inner winds. if you feel all over the place, try doing some pranayama, like nadi shodhana, to get centered.
it’s the second lunar day, the second phase of the waning moon, which, like the first, is related to creativity. that desire that you named yesterday? today you are supported in letting it really root down, ground, so it can grow & thrive.
friday is ruled by venus, planet of love & art, who just moved into taurus, which is home, along with libra (all planets except sun & moon have two homes, like town & country, with no preference for one or the other). venus will be in taurus until may 1, so this is an especially good time to make art, improve relationships or fall in love. don’t miss out!
