it’s sunday, august 11, & moon is in the starspace of sagittarius called mula. sagittarius creates a container in which to find a belief system to anchor our lives & find a purpose, that gives us a sense of vision. hopefully that vision/purpose serves individual us as well as the greater good of humanity. but who gets to say what’s in the best interest of humanity? belief systems run the gamut from low- to high-minded. for example, the belief system of the el paso shooter (i’d prefer to use a more colorful term) told him it was in the best interest of humanity for him to kill mexicans! wtf?! other examples abound abound abound. alas, nothing new in his narrow-minded evil motives.
there’s been a lot of energy around what we believe, about whether those beliefs really serve our highest interest, & there will continue to be for the next year or so, so pay attention, do your due diligence.
mula means root. this asterism asks us to get to the root of our problems, which, ya know, are always in our heads, b/c they’re thoughts; they are the emotional-spiritual-political-etc beliefs that we are attached to. but what we see on the surface is just the manifestation, not the cause. like, for example, grief is always at the root of anger, so if you’re angry at someone, ask yourself why, ask yourself where that anger comes from, what you really fear losing or are sad over losing. mula wants us to yank our problems out by the roots so they stop taking up psychic space in us. got problems? get out your trowel or spade & get to work!
it’s the twelfth phase of the waxing moon, which is connected to the sun, who provides vision & clarity, so let your inner sun shine some clarity on your beliefs, on whether they are really true for you or not, whether they really serve what’s in your best interest.
