it’s tuesday, august 13, & moon is in the starspace called uttara ashdha. the first few degrees of this asterism are in sagittarius, the remainder in capricorn, creating a bridge between the inspiration & hope of the former & the practicality & discipline of the latter. time to begin putting your inspiration to work, to stop just pondering & commit to getting ‘er done.
uttara ashadha indicates our later victories/achievements/accomplishments, which we realize through, yes, hard work & discipline. there can be a sense of aloneness here as we begin to realize that our ultimate accomplishment involves letting go of the material, sacrificing sensual pleasures, for the spiritual. sometimes we feel as if we are traveling solo or have to travel solo, that we are sailing uncharted waters by our own wits alone. which is why it’s so important to be in satsang, to surround ourselves with likeminded souls, who can, as hafiz would say, remind us of our light, of our own divinity, who would remind us that the goal is achievable.

& this nakshatra is ruled by, & blessed by, the vishwadevas, the universal gods, of which there are an astonishing 330 million, all of whom have our backs, all of whom are responsible for seeing us through the darkness, for making sure that our sacrifices are worthwhile, for allowing us to achieve our goals. got gods?! yes!
it’s the fourteenth phase of the waxing moon (full moon alert tomorrow!), so you could be feeling, um, too full of emotion. there is also a kali influence, so a good day to let go of, release, destroy, especially when it comes to negative beliefs & false hopes.
