it’s monday, august 19, & moon is in the starspace called revati, which is in the last portion of pisces. pisces creates an atmosphere of dreaminess & surrender, of wanting to let go of our identity as an individual drop of water in the ocean & merge into the vastness of the ocean itself, becoming boundaryless yet more ourself than ever. the key to surrender is to make sure we are letting go to journey deeper into our true nature rather than escaping—meditation takes you in, drugs/alcohol/pick-your-vice takes you out.
revati always reminds me of the french verb rêver, which means “to dream” & perhaps comes from the old french resver, “to consider, reflect, be delirious,” which in turn may (or may not) derive from the latin esver, “to wander.”* all of which is interesting (at least to me!) b/c of the potentially delirious nature (dreaming yourself away from the true nature of reality rather than understanding the ephemeral, dreamy nature of reality itself) of this starspace & also b/c the presiding deity is pushan, the shepherd, the one who guides us in our wandering (i.e., in our search for the truth of who we are), gently cajoles to keep us from, say, falling off a rocky ledge until we are safely home. he ensures that we will reach our destination without fear, without anxiety. of course, the destination may be spiritual or not—doesn’t matter, there is no judgment.
maybe you wanna connect to your inner border collie today & guide/protect others, especially those less fortunate?
the fourth lunar phase, inviting us to overcome obstacles, becomes the fifth, inviting us to heal & nurture, ourselves or others—hey, maybe leaping over the hurdles of the fourth phase wiped you out & you need to recover with some self-care tonight?
& that’s your daily bliss—the moon, which is also connected to the fifth lunar phase, owns monday, so a good day to double down on trusting your intuition, connecting to your heart-mind, to guide you gently through your day.
