daily blissit’s thursday, august 1, & the new moon cycle, in cancer, has been launched by the moon emptying itself out in pushya nakashatra (see yesterday’s post for more on pushya), announcing the theme for the next 30 days: it’s time to assess all the information you gathered during the last lunar cycle, in gemini, through the pure lens of your heart. what feels true to you? where do or don’t your thoughts & feelings align? where are you speaking & acting from a place of nourishment, being guided by heart wisdom, & where are you not? how can you more creatively support others? how can you deepen your emotional wisdom & trust your intuition?

if you know which house the new moon is in, you’ll be able to further harness this cycle’s energy. for example, if you’re an aries (in vedic astrology, which uses the sidereal zodiac), cancer is in your fourth house, which brings more focus to trusting your heart wisdom, especially in terms of how it relates to your sense of feeling at home in yourself, & could also bring issues around your mother front & center. if you’re a capricorn, cancer is your seventh house, so it’s relationship month for you! how can you deepen your emotional wisdom around relationships, make them more nourishing? can you see why your natal chart is such an awesome resource?!

moon is now in the starspace called aslesha, which is the embracer, the entwiner. it’s great to be able to embrace life, but we don’t want to cling too tightly, cling so tightly that we lose perspective, can’t let go, mistake the material for the spiritual. we also don’t want to cling to toxic emotions; we want to be able to use our heart wisdom & the discriminating powers of our intellect to loosen our hold on what doesn’t serve us, what’s taking us in the wrong direction, what’s pulling us down rather than lifting us up. so good thing to notice today.

it’s the first phase of the waxing moon, which invites us to use our creativity to start a new project, so why not start one connected to the coming month’s theme of growing your heart wisdom, expanding your ability to nurture others?

& that’s your daily bliss—jupiter owns thursday & happens to be aspecting (casting his gaze at) the moon, filling us with hope, which comes from allowing ourselves to be nourished by the blessings of the divine.
