it’s wednesday, august 24, & moon is in cancer, in the starspace called pushya. cancer vibrates with the frequency of the divine feminine, of unconditional love, of relating to one & all through the heart rather than the head, of wanting to be one with all, feel connected to everyone & everything. under the sway of cancer, we feel our feelings & trust them to guide us.

pushya comes from the sanskrit verbal root push (पुष़्), which means “to thrive, flourish, nourish.” pushya is also the blossom of a flower, which is proof of nourishment, of thriving. this asterism brings a lesson about what & whom we nourish, & how we do so. if the metaphorical flowers of our life aren’t blooming, we get to ask ourselves why, whether we are feeding them junk food or organic delicacies, whether we are weeding & fertilizing, watering them adequately.

it’s the thirteenth lunar day, the thirteenth phase of the waning moon (oh, dear, i messed up yesterday, saying it was the eleventh when it was the twelfth! i blame traveling for being off my game, for not knowing what time or day it was!) it’s a good day to enjoy your embodied existence with the one(s) you enjoy doing that with.

wednesday is ruled by mercury, who is our inner storyteller. the poet muriel rukeyser said, “the universe is made of stories, not of atoms,” meaning that we create our reality, our universe, with the stories we tell about it; for example, that the world is full of light & love or that it is not, that people are inherently good or not. stories aren’t real, b/c if they were everyone would tell the same story, & they do not. stories, which are reflections of our perceived reality, are subjective, unique to each of us. & we are affected by them, b/c we believe them & they thus etch grooves in us that perpetuate themselves—the more we see the world/people a certain way, the more we continue to see it/them that way. so if we are going to tell stories—& we are going to do so b/c that is our nature—then let’s at least tell stories that create the reality we want to see, the world we want to live in, yes?

& that’s your daily bliss! which is a of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
