daily blissit’s tuesday, august 27, & moon is in cancer in the starspace called punarvasu until early afternoon, then moves into pushya. punarvasu is the link between the mental focus of gemini & the heart-centeredness of cancer: time to feel rather than just think, to intuit rather than analyze, to use the right half of your brain as well as the left.

vasu can be translated as “brilliant” or “a jewel” or as “a dwelling.” punar means again, as in repetition, as in doing it until you get it right. so there’s a sense of returning to the light or becoming a jewel again, stepping into the full brilliance that is your birthright, & also of coming again into a new home, as in the body you occupied when you incarnated in this lifetime. the symbol of this asterism is the bow, which suggests hope & idealism: we pull back the bow to shoot our arrow toward our goal. what is our ultimate goal but to connect to the light within & shine it outward from these bodies we call home.

pushya is also expansive & hopeful. one symbol of this most maternal asterism is the teats of a cow—like the full-to-bursting udders of that domestic beauty, it wants to nourish everything it touches. & what is the most nourishing substance in the world? love! nothing can thrive in the absence of love. & the key to love is that the more you give, the more you have to give. are you up to the challenge of loving more?!
