it’s friday, august 4, & moon is moving from aquarius to pisces midday while being supported & transported by the starspace called purvabhadra. while the environment of aquarius invites us into the realization that each of us is part of the collective & has a responsibility to contribute positively to that collective, the environment of pisces invites us into the realization that we are part of something much greater, part of all that is. pisces gives us the opportunity to get some perspective by allowing us to open our wings & soar above the earthly plane, surrender into the support of the vast cosmic currents.
purvabhadra gives us a lightning flash of the true nature of reality, a hit that we are here to do more than just survive, that we are bigger than just that, have a greater purpose. this asterism is ruled by aja ekapada, the cosmic form of agni, sacred fire, & lights a fire under our spiritual aspirations. in the classic 70s phenom “jonathan livingston seagull” (don’t ask me how i got on this tangent—it just serendipitously lit my fire this morning!), jonathan got that hit & followed it despite being labeled an outcast. self-realization, truth, was more important to him than being part of a flock. sad but true that we can’t always have it both ways. would you rather be part of a flock or herd, pod or posse, or be free? no judgment—just asking!
it’s the fourth lunar day, the fourth phase of the waning moon, which supports us in overcoming obstacles, & we all know that we are usually the obstacles, right? that we are the ones holding ourselves back with our limiting beliefs, right?
friday is ruled by venus, planet of love & beauty, among other earthly delights. venus’s retrograde cycle supports us in reexamining our relationship with all things venus, including our relationships, probs whether we like it or not, & not just romantic ones, altho those usually seize our attention. we may just be thinking about a past love or a past love may come back to yank our heartstrings. remember that, as richard bach, of “jonathan livingston seagull” fame, wrote, “if you love someone, set them free. if they come back they’re yours; if they don’t they never were.” & just b/c they come back doesn’t mean they need to stay!
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
