it’s wednesday, august 7, & moon is moving into the starspace called vishakha. vishakha is mostly in libra, partly in scorpio, so we’ll still be feeling that libran desire to focus on our relationships, bring harmony to them, which may involve some compromise on our part—just don’t compromise so much that you upset the balance in the wrong direction, compromise your own needs, your own values, too much.
vishakha is rued by both indra & agni, bringing lightning (indra) & fire (agni) to bear on our relationships, upping the ante with their wisdom & insight. this is where we expand our sense of relationship beyond the personal to the world at large, where we take up a social or political or cultural cause. this effort is both selfless & not, for it brings us great satisfaction on a soul level & if we make the world a better place, we are, ultimately, making it better for ourselves as well, right? that’s called enlightened self-interest!
how much do you want to enlighten up? what cause is burning for your attention? maybe you’ll have a lightning flash of inspiration today!
a cause could be as small as, say, picking up litter or volunteering to deliver meals-on-wheels (not that any cause can be too small or that any effort isn’t big, isn’t enough!) or as big as taking on the mega oil interests who think that despite the threat to our existence that an increasing lack of water is bringing, it’s a good idea to waste bazillions of gallons of it fracking to obtain a wee bit more oil & contribute more-more-more to climate change, which is causing the water shortage to begin with. grrrrrr!
it’s the eighth phase of the waxing moon, which has to do with finding & creating value. what matters most to you? what are you doing to create more of it? how does what you create align with your values?
& that’s your daily bliss—wednesday is owned by mercury, which makes this a great good day to reflect on how you are using your words, or whether you are even using them, whether you are communicating effectively with others or keeping it zipped & suffering the consequences.
