daily blissit’s thursday, august 8, & moon is in emotionally deep scorpio in the starspace called anuradha. scorpio is where our fears & insecurities surface & it’s ruled by mars, who is a little unstable for the next couple of days, so beware of being triggered emotionally, of having your buttons pushed & pushing back, taking things too personally.

anuradha is one of my favorite nakshatras, & i swear it’s not b/c i have three planets there! it’s b/c it’s related to radha, krishna’s soulmate, his truest, bestest bestie, the one absolutely & totally devoted to him, & just thinking about radha & krishna, saying their names, brings me joy, opens up that devotional space in my heart.

radha represents the individual soul (us) & krishna the universal soul (god, consciousness, however you want to name the experience of oneness, of no separation). this asterism, which calls in that desire to merge into the ocean of consciousness, to see the face of god, to become one with him (please excuse the masculine pronoun!), is ruled by mitra, the god of light, the one who shines a light in the dark for us, holds our hand when we’re scared or overwhelmed, who reminds us of our connection to the divine, that we are not separate.

who is always there to hold your hand? who is/are your great good friend/friends? who reminds you that the darkest of times will pass, that there is always cause to hope, that tapping into the guidance from your highest self, connecting to the divine, will shine a light on your path, show you the way? you just have to open your heart & trust your sacred powers of knowing, trust that the universe has your back!

it’s the ninth phase of the waxing moon, so a double warning to beware toxic emotions, emotions that subversively undermine you—observe & transform them if they arise, use them as opportunities for presence, for deeper emotional awareness.

& that’s your daily bliss—jupiter, aka the guru, owns thursday, & he is hanging out with the moon today, encouraging more devotion, so if you’re feeling emotionally challenged or triggered today, why not call in one of your teachers & ask, “what would [fill in the blank with teacher’s name] do?”
