daily blissit’s friday, august 9, & moon is still surfing the choppy emotional waters of scorpio, maybe hanging 10 but maybe just barely hanging onto his board, still in the starspace of anuradha until mid-morning, then moving into jyeshtha.

anuradha is ruled by mitra, the great friend (see yesterday’s post for more) & jyeshtha is ruled by indra, the king of the gods, the great leader, the one who takes responsibility for the pantheon of the divine. so call in your powers as a bestie to start the day, then your powers of leadership for the rest of the day. the greatest leaders lead through their connection to dharma, knowing they are channels for the divine, that their power is meant to be used for a higher purpose than their own glory.

it is said that indra is our prana & thus rules us internally. he gives us the power, the authority, to rule over our senses. who among us hasn’t been pulled this way & that by the desire to, for example, taste just another wee taste of something delicious, whether it’s in our highest interest or not? so call in indra today to help you discriminate when it comes to those earthly seductions so that you can take another step closer to realizing your highest purpose in this life.

it’s the tenth phase of the waxing moon, which is—hello!—connected to dharma, to our responsibility for living our soul’s purpose. make sure your actions today (well, especially today, b/c we always want to be in alignment, right?) align with the truth of who you are, are taking you closer to the purest expression of your authenticity.

& that’s your daily bliss—venus rules friday, which makes the day about how we experience happiness. for many of us we do so with others, sharing the pleasures of life (like, um, gratifying the desires of the senses!), being in relationship. venus wants our relationships to be mutually beneficial & right now venus is feeling depleted, so you may be feeling you’re giving more than you’re getting in relationships, that what you give isn’t being properly appreciated. notice whether that’s really true or not.
