it’s monday, december 30, & moon is in sagittarius, in the starspace called mula until about 11:30 a.m. mountain time, then purvashadha, where we have the new moon this afternoon around 3:30. sagittarius is the sign of hope & inspiration, of our highest purpose. mula is the star of decluttering, yanking out by the roots the weeds of our life; purvashadha where we get to plant new seeds in that newly spacious soil. the new moon is the perfect time to plant seeds, set intentions, & on the eve of the eve of the new year it is a most potent time to do so for the coming year as well, to double down on intentions, double their impact.
purvashahda, in the heart of sagittarius, the galactic center, is ruled by apas, the goddess of waters, especially rivers. the goddess of the most sacred river is saraswati, who is associated with our most sacred river, our river of inner wisdom, our central channel, aka sushumna nadi, the conduit between heaven & earth, to the totality of existence, to all we can & are meant to be.
this new moon invites us to realign with our highest purpose, with the thing within us that cannot be denied, to hug into our core, our essence.
the darkness of this moon may bring up doubts, cause us to question our purpose & whether we are fulfilling it, as will sag’s ruler, jupiter, being retrograde. great! if we don’t stop to question we’ll just keep doing what we’ve been doing & getting the same results. if you’re loving those results, awesome! if not …
… you might take some time today to imagine that you are sitting on the banks of a river. close your eyes & drop in. ponder what truly inspires you, draws you toward it with curiosity. what is truly important to you right now? what calls your soul? what is preventing you, hampering you, distracting you from fully owning & embodying & satisfying that soul craving?
monday is ruled by all-feeling moon. what would it feeeeel like to flow like a river without obstruction, to be fully aligned with your soul purpose? what needs to go so you can make that happen? mula is ruled by the take-no-prisoners goddess niritti. so fiercely yank weeds this morning, then start planting new seeds this afternoon. & don’t forget to water them!
you got this!
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
