it’s tuesday, march 10, moon is in scorpio, in the starspace called jyeṣṭḥā, it’s the seventh phase of the waning moon & mars’ day.
scorpio, the eighth sign of the natural zodiac, which begins with aries, is associated with eighth house issues like uncertainty. it’s where stuff just happens—accidents, illnesses, breakups, job losses, people losses—& we feel the rug pulled out from under us, realize that we can’t control the present or the future, & that generates fear & anxiety … cause we wanna be certain, we wanna know, so we can plan, strategize, like mars, the general of the army, scorpio’s planetary ruler, not be worrywarts.
“fearlessness is generated when you can appreciate uncertainty. … you will find yourself, in a very true sense, preparing for the worst while allowing for the best. … you acquire the skill of pervasive awareness & foresight like that of a gifted general, not paranoid but prepared.”—khyentse norbu
scorpio is where we get to work our resilience muscle, roll with life’s punches, surf the big emotional waves.
what’s the best that might happen?
jyeṣṭḥā is ruled by indra, ruler of the gods, who learned the hard way to control his own desires/senses, be the master of himself before trying to control/master others, that there is always more personal growth work to do, always room for improvement.
the seventh lunar day (tithi), the seventh phase of the waning moon, is also ruled by indra, who, as noted above, needed some serious lessons in humility, in self-awareness, in taking personal responsibility for his negative tendencies, so he could become the master of his own destiny.
“until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life & you will call it fate.”—carl jung
tuesday is ruled by mars, our inner action hero, defender & protector, who is almost conjunct rahu in aquarius—the conjunction will be exact march 13-14. rahu brings obsession, distortion, exaggeration into the mix, can fire up already fiery mars, make him impulsive rather than strategic (like starting a war with a bad plan A & not having a plan B), frustrated/angry when things don’t happen as quickly as he wants them to.
as politically, so personally: pause before you speak, think before you act, slow your roll, keep your fingers on the chess piece until you’re sure of your move. take deep breaths, do pranayama.
get into your body & out of your head by grounding with yoga, martial arts, going for a run. chant or listen to the hanuman chalisa (b/c hanuman is mars’ guy).
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
