it’s monday, february 10, & moon is in cancer, in the starspace called pushya. cancer vibrates with the frequency of the divine feminine, of unconditional love, of connecting heart-to-heart. it’s where we choose love. i mean, if they can choose love on the field of the super bowl, we can certainly choose it on the field of our lives, right?
“the longer i live, the more deeply i learn that love—whether we call it friendship or family or romance—is the work of mirroring each other’s light. gentle work. steadfast work. life-saving work in those moments when shame & sorrow occlude our own light from view, but there is still a clear-eyed loving person to beam it back. in our best moments, we are that person for another.”—james baldwin, “nothing personal”
love, like everything else, is always a choice. what are you going to choose?
pushya means “nourisher” & is formed by three stars, which ancient seers perceived as the udders of a cow, which is why the main symbol of this asterism is just that, a symbol of unconditional mother love, of selflessly nourishing another. pushya is ruled by brihaspati, the priest/guru to the gods, who selflessly nourished others with his wisdom. we get to ask what we are nourishing & with what, with the highest quality ingredients or not.
it’s the fourteenth lunar day (tithi), the fourteenth phase of the waxing moon, which means we have a full moon on the horizon, overnight tomorrow, to be exact. the full moon is going to be in cancer, in the starspace called ashlesha, where we will have ginormous potential to transform limiting beliefs & negative tendencies into wisdom. it also means that as the moon maxes out we may be full to bursting with noxiousness in our body, heart or mind, especially heart, b/c cancer is our heart center, so our emotions may be off the charts. it’s not too early to notice what’s arising & what lessons we get to learn from it.
monday is ruled by moon, as is cancer, so it’s a double-good day to let our heart be our guiding force, our superpower for connection & our superpower for wisdom. you know the expression “i just knew in my heart it was true”? try putting it into practice today & see what happens.
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
