it’s friday, december 11, & moon is in libra, in the starspace called swati. the scale that is associated with libra is not actually the scale of justice, but the sort of scale that measures goods & derives a price for them. it is the scale of the merchant not the judge. & the transactions being performed may be for services rendered or products bought, but they could be anything exchanged between two people, even love & affection. libra reminds us that our transactional scales should always be balanced, there should be equal give & take, neither party should feel they’re being losing in the bargain. if they are, it’s time to renegotiate or find a new partner to play or do business with. it’s time to re-weigh their options.
swati is ruled by vayu, god of the wind, who is also hanuman’s dad. the wind can scatter, carry our prana in all different directions if we’re not careful. but, if, like hanuman, we can harness its power through devotion, well, then, watch out! if you do need to scatter something in a focused direction today, like your latest newsletter to a dedicated email list, go for it.
it’s the twelfth phase of the waning moon, the twelfth lunar day, which is related to the sun, which is alway burning bright, always exuding its heat. the sun at the center of our external galaxy is always on, & the sun at the center of our inner galaxy is likewise always on, but we sometimes forget that it is so. tap into your inner sun today, into your source of light, of vision, & see if that doesn’t enable you to see your path more clearly.
venus rules friday, so friday is always a good day to enjoy the beauty of life, to focus on the joys rather than the sorrows, to appreciate the gifts of our embodied existence, the gifts our senses bestow on us—to delight in others, in food, in art, in nature. to be the beauty & share the beauty & celebrate the beauty of this world, of one another, with one another.
