it’s monday, december 12, & moon is in cancer, in the starspace called pushya. cancer vibrates with the frequency of the divine feminine, an embodiment of unconditional love. “love is a transcendent principle,” writes chris wallis. “it is the appropriate response to both love & hate.” when we see someone as evil & hate them, “we shut down the possibility of compassion” & therefore the possibility of dialogue & understanding, which just might lead to their changing their ways. i’m not saying it’s easy, or guaranteed, just that it is possible. & wouldn’t you rather live in & create a world of possibility than not?
pushya comes from the sanskrit verb “push,” which means “to nourish,” & is connected to the planet jupiter as the deity brihaspati, the priest/guru, described in the rig veda as being born from the first great light, the one who drove away darkness. jupiter is exalted—i.e., his most powerful/intelligent—in pushya, endowing this asterism with the power to nourish our soul by reflecting our divine light back to us. this asterism reminds us that what we nourish, & how, whether with light & love or not, determines what we will grow.
it’s the fifth phase of the waning moon, which serendipitously (pushti derives from the same sanskrit verb as pushya!) brings more nourishment, as it is endowed with pushti, the power to nourish all things, make them grow & prosper. & the quality of this tithi (lunar phase) is lakshmi. lakshmi is the goddess of prosperity & when she emerged from the milk ocean in her external form she was magnetized to vishnu, declaring him her divine husband by putting a garland of flowers around his neck. she knew what she wanted, what her highest goal was. it’s a great good day for romance—or to be unwavering in achieving your highest goal.
monday is ruled by the moon, who invites us to feel all our feels—the good, the bad, the ugly, the low & the high. moon wants us to maximize our feeling spectrum, integrate the vastness & complexity & nuance of our emotional body so we can become more whole, healthy. “to bring coherence to our heart, we’ve got to get really good at feeling elevated emotions,” says joe dispenza. the lower we go, the higher we can go. how low are you willing to go in order to go high as a kite or higher? how much are you willing to feel to heal?
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
