it’s monday, december 13, & moon is in pisces, in the starspace called revati, until very early afternoon mountain time, then moves into aries & the starspace called ashwini. there is no starry bridge easing the moon’s transition from pisces to aries, so we def want to mind the gap then, when our mind/consciousness will feel unsupported! pisces vibrates with the frequency of finishing a cycle of karma, aries with beginning a new one; pisces with the dream state, aries with the waking state. we get to dream a little bit more this morning, then start making our dreams reality this afternoon.
revati is ruled by pushan, the gentle shepherd, & brings the lesson that we are all, as ram dass has said, walking each other home. who could use your company on their journey today? ashwini is ruled by the ashwin kumara, the twin doctors to the gods, & brings a lesson about focusing our life force, our prana: thoughts ride on prana & where our prana goes, our thoughts go—& vice versa; they are the two wings of the same bird, & guess who’s the bird?
it’s the tenth lunar day, the tenth phase of the waxing moon, which is related to dharma, fulfilling our highest purpose. the bhagavad gita teaches us that it’s best to do our own dharma imperfectly than to do another’s well (18.47). if you’ve been doing what you think you “should” do rather than what your heart & soul desire you to do, now’s a good time to just cut that out!
monday is ruled by the moon, who wants us to feel & honor all of our feelings so that we can receive what they have to teach us & we can then integrate what we’ve learned & become more whole, feel more at peace, which is the moon’s ultimate desire—for us to feel at peace. sometimes we think that if we ignore our feelings, they’ll go away, or that certain feelings are “bad” & so we make ourselves feel bad for feeling them rather than allowing ourselves to feel them. there are no “bad” feelings. all are welcome here, even, & especially, grief & pain & sorrow. the more pain we can feel, the more love, & being able to give & receive love is as high on the moon’s wish list as feeling peaceful.
“where there is sorrow, there is holy ground.”—oscar wilde
