it’s wednesday, december 13, & moon is in sagittarius, in the starspace called mula. following on the heels of emotionally stormy scorpio, sagittarius brings rays of hope. “not all storms come to disrupt your life, some come to clear your path,” said some unknown someone, who may have been paul coelho but may have not. where we feel shaken up in scorpio, self-terrorized by our noodling over the past or fretting about the future, in sag we calm the “f” down as we zoom out & take in the bigger picture perspective, realize that we are part of something greater & that that something greater has our back.
mula means “root” & is ruled by niritti, a fierce form of “take no prisoners” kali. this asterism gives us the power of rooting out & destroying, which are necessary in the process of creation. & how fortuitous is the synchronicity with the beginning of the waxing lunar cycle, when we just might need to create space in which to plant & grow something newer & better!
it’s the first lunar day (tithi), the first phase of the waxing moon, which has the energy of rajas, “passion,” & brings awareness of our true desire for manifestation, the thing we want to create, bring to fruition (or as close as possible) as moon grows to fullness. what hit are you getting? what is your intention & what support do you need to hold yourself accountable for it?
wednesday is ruled by mercury, planet of technology & communication, who just started another of his thrice-yearly retrograde cycles. planets going retro is totally normal—they all do it—so no need to freak out. when mercury goes retro it’s always a good idea to double-down on external mercury things: reread emails before you send them, make sure you are backing up your work, give yourself extra time if you’re traveling in case of delays—that sort of thing. as far as internal mercury things go: it’s an opportunity to reflect on how we have been communicating by considering the results we’ve been getting. sometimes it’s not what we say but how we say it. during the holiday season, when we may be more social—& more stressed!—than usual, it’s an especially good idea to pause before we speak, lest our words accidentally don’t achieve the outcome we mean them to.
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
