it’s monday, december 14, & at the moment i’m writing the moon is in scorpio, in the starspace called jyeshtha. it will be moving into sagittarius & mula nakshatra in a few hours, but i’m going to focus on where moon is now, b/c it is a big effing deal—the new moon is party to a solar eclipse: sun is within a degree of the dark moon now, not to mention that ketu, mars & mercury are hugging tight to that pair of luminaries & that venus recently entered scorpio as well. so there is A LOT of energy in scorpio. scorpio already invites us, or, um, forces us, to go beneath the surface & the eclipse forces open the doors to what is hidden, brings the big reveal, makes us look face to face at our shadow.
it is time to play archeologist & excavate the nooks & crannies, to rid ourselves of negative thoughts & beliefs, of anything holding us back on our spiritual path, on our path of being fully & magnificently human. get out your sharpest & most finely pointed tools to scrape away the dirt, your softest & daintiest brush to smooth away the dust. ketu will help—but it’s more empowering to do it ourselves, to surrender & let “it” go rather than to have him yank it away.
jyeshtha gives us that power. jyeshtha brings the wisdom of the elder, who takes responsibility not just for her own life but for the lives of the ones younger in age or wisdom. it is a great good moment to harness our inner crone & ask her what needs to go: what possessions, what limiting beliefs, what people/relationships. she can help us rise above, realize that the drama & insecurity wrought by the dark waters of scorpio are not real, that our thoughts just make it feel that way, that, as eckhart tolle has said, “life isn’t as serious as the mind makes it out to be.”
wherever scorpio is in your chart, whatever house it represents, is the area of life you are FEELING it now. if you don’t know, ask me! this eclipse energy is a gift that will keep on giving … in a good way—have courage!
