it’s wednesday, december 16, & moon is in sagittarius until about noon, then moves into capricorn, all the while hanging out in the starspace called uttarashadha, which straddles those two signs. this nakshatra holds space, literally & metaphorically, for the transition from the hopefulness & inspiration of sag into the practicality & discipline of cap. under the sway of sagittarius we may feel unbound in a way, inspired to believe that anything is possible, & it is. as a wise friend/mentor has said, 100% is possible 100% of the time. but possibility without commitment ain’t going to get us anywhere. capricorn brings the reality of commitment, the necessity of commitment, into the picture. it takes two, it takes both, to tango.

uttarashadha is ruled by the vishwadevas, the ten universal gods/principles (dharma, kama, kala & karma chief among them). if we are in alignment with these principles, if we are in right relationship with our dharma (the truth of our existence), don’t get carried away by kama (desire, at least desire for earthly distractions; if we don’t overindulge in them, let them take us off course), use our time (kala) wisely, etc, then we will be, to quote another very wise friend/mentor, un-fuck-up-able. we will be un-vanquish-able.
speaking of being un-you-know-what-able, it’s the third lunar day, the third phase of the waxing moon, which is called jaya & is ruled by vishnu. jaya means—drum roll, please—victorious! the energy here invites us to think outside the box, be flexible, to embrace rather than resist change, & thus be open to solutions that just might yield—yesssss—victory! sometimes the victory itself is allowing ourselves to be fluid rather than rigid, being able to go with the flow rather than damming it up.
mercury rules wednesday, who brings another reason to be flexible, to let the mind go where it will, investigate possibilities, & then share them with others, b/c that’s half the fun for mercury.
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. it is my hope that the daily bliss can help you align with the day’s cosmic energy & find a little more bliss; that it inspires you to enlighten up a little more each day.
