it’s friday, december 22, & moon is in aries, moving from the starspace called ashwini into bharani at about 9 a.m. mountain time. aries vibrates with the frequency of having the courage to step fully into our authenticity, to seize each moment to be all that we are meant to be, embracing & living our destiny (see more below!) starting now, in this moment … & the next & the next.

ashwini invites us to charge ahead like horses running wild, to set something in motion, bharani to say “whoa!” & look around, see where we are, for bharani is associated with the consequences of our actions & taking responsibility for them. for example, a possible consequence of sex is a baby, who thus requires care & feeding, etc. a possible consequence of an argument is hurt feelings, in which case amends, in the form of an apology, might be the responsible response.
it’s the eleventh lunar day (tithi), the eleventh phase of the waxing moon, which is the most spiritual, b/c the mind is the least busy, thus the most receptive, the most available for communion with the divine. & this particular tithi is the 5160th anniversary of one of the most spiritual texts of all, & a bible to many, the bhagavad gita, which was believed to have been revealed by lord krishna to arjuna on the battlefield of kurukshetra on this day over 5,000 years ago. so it’s a great good day to sit quietly & meditate on your favorite passage from the B.G. or on its ultimate meaning, which might be summed up as uhtred summed it up: “destiny is all!”
friday is ruled by venus, planet of love. “the longer i live, the more deeply i learn that love—whether we call it friendship or family or romance—is the work of mirroring & magnifying each other’s light,” wrote james baldwin. are you mirroring & being mirrored by your people? are you magnifying & being magnified by them? are you meeting them where they’re at? are they meeting you where you’re at? if not, then start practicing today—step up your love game!
