it’s tuesday december 26 (hope you all had a lovely holiday weekend!), & moon is in gemini, where moon will be full as full in the starspace called ardra about an hour after sunset MST.

this full moon brings A LOT of fierce, transformative potential. it is associated with goddess bhairavi, the fearless one, whose consort was kala bhairava, shiva as the lord of time. ardra is ruled by rudra, an especially fierce form of shiva, & the sun is opposite in sagittarius, in the starspace called mula, ruled by niritti, an especially fierce form of kali. that’s A LOT of fierceness for us to call on! rudra means “the howler,” & ardra brings emotional storms, inner churnings, that make us want to howl, cry, stomp our feet. rudra is also said to eliminate evil & usher in peace by yanking problems out by their roots—& let’s not forget that mula means “root.”

the roots of all of our problems are our limiting beliefs—believing that, for example, our problems are too ginormous to overcome or that our goals too impossible to achieve, the bar too high. how can we possibly know any of that is true if we haven’t had the courage, the fearlessness, to try?

what else do we need besides courage? love & compassion! when the milk ocean was churned, poisons rose to the surface before the nectar did. shiva took it upon himself to swallow them to save humanity. & then tara, the goddess of love & compassion, took shiva into her lap & breastfed him with her own milk to neutralize the poisons.

also in the mix: mercury retrograde in mula has us def looking backward. mars is aspecting the moon & saturn & mars are aspecting each other. so it’s especially important to be curious & be gentle with ourselves, not to rush the healing; for saturn will stall progress, or make us feel as if change isn’t happening fast enough, & mars will bring frustration, maybe anger, try to get us to act too impulsively to bring it.

this lunar cycle begin with the new moon in jyeshtha, inviting us to take responsibility for our inner demons & conquer them with compassion & humility rather than anger. the full moon invites us to complete that work. &, yeah, feel free to howl & let the tears pour down your face if that’s part of your process!

“leave anything incomplete & it becomes an obsession; complete it & you are free of it. completion brings freedom.”—osho

& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
