the daily blissit’s friday (thank gawd!), & moon is in the starspace called uttarashadha, which occupies a sky-slice of capricorn. after breathing the philosophical air of sagittarius, we’re brought back down to earth in capricorn, where we use the tried & true tools of discipline & perseverance to concretize our high falutin’ inspiration. b/c of the eclipse in sagittarius & the pile-up of planets there, a lot might have gotten, might still be getting, shaken loose & thrown up for question & it might take us a while to be able to respond in practical ways. not to worry: capricorn’s ruler, saturn, is very patient! he invites us to take our time, not to dilly-dally, but to give ourselves enough time to respond sagely, to respond in ways that will serve us for the duration.

uttarashadha indicates that which cannot be suppressed, that whatever is incipient in us must be birthed. in mula, we made space by weeding our life’s garden, ripping out false beliefs. in purvashadha, we planted new seeds, new ideas, had a glimpse of a new way of being. uttarashadha supports us by allowing that new way of being to take root in our consciousness. this asterism is ruled by the vishvadevas, basically all the gods, which means they’ve all got our back! the vishvadevas are goodness, truth, determination, talent, time, enjoyment, firmness, ancestors, abundance, joy, pleasantness, sight, fame, & leadership. we have access to all these qualities, all we have to do is tap into them, allow them to flow through us. some are easier for us to embody than others, are easier for us to trust. this asterism inspires us to be victorious over our lower desires to achieve spiritual success if we are willing to commit to developing the divine qualities of goodness, truth, determination, etc. up to us. what are you in short supply of? which quality will help you birth your vision?

it’s the second lunar day after the new moon, which is related to creating a comfortable, joyful existence & sharing it with those we love, actually creating a life worth sharing with others, which also happens to be what venus likes us to do & today is venus’ day.

friday is ruled by venus, who is happily hanging out in capricorn, actually enjoying being brought down to earth by that saturnine energy. think candlelit baths rather than ecstatic dancing until dawn. think dinner for two rather than a banquet for a dozen.

jyotish, vedic astrology, is the science of light. i’d love to help you shine more light on your life  but i’m taking a wee break from readings to support my family. stay tuned! ~.~
