it’s wednesday, december 30, & moon is in gemini, in the starspace called punarvasu. gemini is an air sign, which is connected to mental agility, gathering information & experiences, & the transmission of ideas. gemini invites us to go where our mind takes us, where our curiosity takes us, to explore & investigate, to figure stuff out, make something of it & then share what we uncover, what we create with others.
the asterism punarvasu brings the light after the storm of ardra. punar means “again” & vasu means “brilliant like rays of light.” the vasus are the solar deities who embody the light, who embody desirable qualities like goodness, prosperity & strength, & keep us pointed toward our soul’s true north, toward our inner light. they remind us that the light is always there, it never goes out, is always available to us, is always illuminating our path even, especially, during the darkest nights of our soul, that the sun always shines, that a new day always dawns.
