it’s monday, december 5, & moon is in aries, in the starspace called bharani. aries vibrates with the frequency of new beginnings, of fresh starts, of boldly going where we have never gone before, of fulfilling our destiny, our highest expression of self. “to walk through the door of unlimited possibility, we have to leave behind the story we tell about our past,” says joe dispenza. under the sway of aries, it is full-steam ahead without a glance backward.
bharani comes from the sanskrit verb that means “to bear,” as in bearing children or bearing the consequences of our actions, just as children are the consequences, nine months later, of the amorous actions of two people. this asterism brings a lesson about taking responsibility for what we have created, whether children or situations, a project or a business. we can’t change our minds about children after the fact—say, “whoops! my mistake”—but if we make mistakes in other aspects of our lives, we get to own them, make amends to ourselves or others, figure out a solution, start over if necessary.
it’s the thirteenth phase of the waxing moon, which is called “pradosha,” or “flawless one,” & is said to remove all shortcomings & increase all auspiciousness. according to swami sivananda, “on the thirteenth lunar day nature assists the worshiper from waking up from his mental deep sleep & in becoming aware of the fourth state [turiya].” nature assists, brings grace, if we do our practices. the day is auspicious for accelerating our spiritual & material progress, but it becomes inauspicious when we go too hard too fast, when we aren’t ready, can’t deal with the, um, consequences, when we push rather than allow.
monday is owned by the moon, who speaks the language of connection, which is really our native tongue.
admit something:
everyone you see, you say to them, “love me.
of course you do not do this out loud;
otherwise, someone would call the cops.
still though, think about this, this great pull to connect.
why not become the one who lives with a full moon in each eye
that is always saying.
with that sweet moon language,
what every other eye in this world is dying to hear?
