it’s monday, december 6, & moon is in sagittarius, in the starspace called purvashadha until early afternoon, then uttarashadha. sagittarius vibrates with the frequency of higher purpose, of something greater than what we can perceive with our eyes guiding us, creating a sublime container for our existence. in the environment of this zodiac sign, we feel hopeful, we want to be our best self, express our authentic essence, be all we can be. how’s that going for you? how authentic do you feel? how can you lean more into your true true?
purvashadha & uttarashadha are like the a side & b side of a 45—if you don’t know what a 45 is, never mind! in any event, they bring the lesson that what our soul is calling out to express has to be expressed (purva) & will be, cannot not be, as long as we nurture that soul desire with love & devotion (uttara). it’s a good day to feel into what that might be & how that might be nurtured, how that seed might be watered & fertilized.
it’s the third lunar day, the third phase of the waxing moon, which supports us in being flexible, being able to think outside the box to solve a problem. if something isn’t working the way we’ve been doing it, we get to stop trying to make it work that way. once we stop attaching to our way, we open ourselves up to possibilities we may not even have been able to imagine. we get to be surprised!
monday is ruled by the moon, which is our feeling nature, our ability to connect to others through our heart, to, if you will, see, perceive the world around us, by being sensitive to it without using our, well, usual senses. in act four of “king lear,” after gloucester is blinded (i’ll spare you the gory details!), he tells lear that he sees the world “feelingly.”
