it’s tuesday, december 8, & moon is in virgo, in the starspace called uttaraphalguni. yeah, so the big vision of the “quing” (see yesterday’s post!), our vision for the world we want to create, means attending to the details. just as president-elect biden is putting together a cabinet, with actual competent, experienced people (instead of sycophants & other grifters), to take care of specifics, we get to address the specifics of the world we are responsible for. alas, we are not president-elects, so we don’t necessarily have a cabinet, but we can hire personal/virtual assistants & housecleaners & accountants/bookkeepers & web goddesses, for example, to take care of tasks we’d rather not take care of ourselves. but one way or another, these tasks must be addressed or our realm will crumble.
uttaraphalguni is the starry space that connects leo with virgo, reminding us that, as i said above, a kingdom takes work, it doesn’t run by itself (altho somehow the united states is still somehow standing after four years of utter neglect & worse). this asterism is ruled by aryaman, who invites us to go into contract with those who can help us sustain our kingdom, support our ventures, whether business or creative or romantic, & to do it joyfully (especially if it’s a marriage contract!), or at least amicably.
it’s the ninth lunar day, the ninth phase of the waning moon, which encourages us to transform toxic beliefs (& mars, see below, can help with that) into a superpower—what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger, right? i know pretty much nothing about martial arts, but the mood of this tithi brings to mind the notion of using our adversary’s strength (or weakness!) to our own advantage, leveraging it, even if they are three times our weight. we don’t have to be stronger, just smarter.
mars owns tuesday, giving us a shot of fiery courage & focus. this is a great day to power through our to-do list—don’t think, just get ‘er done—or to vanquish some internal foes, or, hey, both!
