it’s tuesday, june 25, & moon moves from capricorn into aquarius this afternoon while being supported & transported by the starspace called dhanishtha. both capricorn & aquarius are ruled by saturn, the time keeper, who reminds us that time waits for no one & so we get to buckle down, put our nose to the grindstone. in capricorn that grindstone is our personal life goals, in aquarius our goals as part of the global village. saturn turns retrograde, in aquarius, on saturday for four & a half months … basically until the US elections in november, which is really kinda perfect, b/c that means we’ll all be, or should be, reflecting on our goals for our country & its place in the world so we can make the most informed decision when it’s time to vote. it also means we’ll be reflecting on the area of life aquarius represents in our chart. if you’re not sure, ask me!
dhanishtha is the star of wealth, of prosperity, of abundance & invites us to ponder what makes us feel rich, the richness of our existence, materially & spiritually. for it is not one or the other but both/&. the really wise neither condemn & repudiate material riches nor worship & covet them, writes thought-leader annie rix militz, in “both riches and honor“: rather, they “avoid both attitudes through knowing worldly wealth to be but a reflection of the real, the spiritual riches that must be sought first, last & always. having found the riches of heaven, you cannot escape the riches of earth unless you purposely repudiate them.”
it’s the fourth lunar day (tithi), the fourth phase of the waning moon, until just before noon MDT, then the fifth. this is a transition from overcoming obstacles (like the ones we unconsciously place in our path) to being able to achieve our goals, like lakshmi, the embodiment of abundance, who, when she first set eyes on vishnu, knew he was her man. end of story. purification leads to clarity & single-minded focus.
tuesday is ruled by passionate mars, who, when our passion gets misdirected, can get us riled up.
“once you are without anger, then you can get really angry. i mean, there’s nothing more beautiful than dharmic anger.”—ram dass
it’s a good day to use anger for the greater good, not for the good of our ego.
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
