what to know so you can align with today’s energy from a vedic (not western/tropical) astrology point of view: it’s thursday, august 6, moon moves from aries into taurus this afternoon while being supported & transported by the starspace called kṛttikā, it’s the ninth phase of the waning moon & jupiter’s day.
the transition from aries into taurus …
… is one from doing, taking action, stepping out beyond your comfort zone, to being, IN-joying what you’ve done/created/built, steeping in your comfort zone. after the fiery energy of aries, earthy taurus welcomes you in like an overstuffed couch, invites you to sink into its fat cushions with a cup of tea or glass of wine, some chocolate (or fave snack) & a juicy novel (i hope i’m not the only one who still reads books! highly recommend the correspondent, which i inhaled in almost one go).
what do you get to make big strides toward this morning so you feel you’ve earned putting up your feet & relaxing a bit time later?
kṛttikā …
… (full disclosure: bharaṇī’s energy is still in play until 8:41 a.m. MDT) is ruled by agni, the primordial god of fire, & means “to cut.” it invites us to remove, discard, turn to ashes what is extraneous. this nakshatra gives us surgical precision & the clarity to discern the truth. & as fire also consumes/digests/incites passion, we get to notice what we are hungry for & whether it serves our highest expression of self or not.
what might you discard, offer into the sacred fire? where are your passions leading you?
the ninth lunar day, …
… the ninth phase (tithi) of the waning moon, is, yes, another tithi that is more conducive to going in than going out, as it can make us feel emotionally unsupported. with venus, planet of relationships (among other things), in virgo, where it is debilitated, we may be inclined to expect from others what they can’t give us now, & vice versa, a double-good reason to perhaps be less than sociable if we can, & if not then to ground ourselves well before we engage with others, work extra hard to create harmony.
jupiter …
… is the planet of cosmic justice, of keeping us on track dharmically, doing what’s right, upholding the truth, living just & righteous lives.
“justice is what love looks like in public.”—cornel west
“injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”—mlk

the daily bliss is 100% human generated! the act of creation is intrinsic to being human—when we give up our agency to create, we cease, little by little, to be fully human.
may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little (or a lot!) more bliss in your life.
