it’s thursday, march 5, moon is in virgo, in the starspace called hastā, it’s the third phase of the waning moon & jupiter’s day.
virgo‘s environment is one of control & is opposite pisces, whose environment is one of surrender. from the perspective of virgo, the invitation is to control what we can, put systems & routines into place to keep us safe & healthy, keep our life in good working order, knowing that we can’t control everything. we may do due diligence to invest our money, only to have the stock market crash or the bitcoin bubble burst, for example.
yoko ono is a virgo with ruling planet mercury in her sixth house, the house associated with virgo, so she has, you might say, double virgo energy. detail-oriented & analytical mercury doing what he loves in an environment he thrives in gave her the ability to organize & manage john’s finances & all music-business matters, like recording, royalties & revenue.
how might you tap into your inner mercury to uplevel your life even a bit today?
as yoko said, “every drop in the ocean counts.”
as my teacher sharon gannon always says, “do your best & let god do the rest.”
hastā‘s superpower is the ability to materialize what we envision, to place it in our hands (our hastas) & offer it to the world with open palms, not keep it to ourselves tucked inside a closed fist. for this nakshatra is ruled by savitur, a solar deity whose name can be translated as “impeller,” as in the source of inspiration, the one, the energy that impels us to manifest, gets that ball rolling. this nakshatra reminds us that we are not truly the doers, “just” the vehicles.
yoko, whose ascendant is in hastā, also said, “art is my life & my life is art.” did she manifest her visions or what?!
the third lunar day (tithi), the third phase of the waning moon, has a quality of nourishment, as in supporting activities that sustain our lives. which is why it’s considered the best tithi for taking care of home & family. but as we know when dealing with other people, that isn’t always easy-peasy, there is sometimes pushback. so we get to be flexible, find work-arounds, appease, be mediators not agitators.
thursday is ruled by jupiter, whose sanskrit name is guru, the cosmic teacher, bringer of wisdom. gu = “darkness”; ru = “remover”: a guru is anyone or anything that removes your darkness, your ignorance, about yourself & about the nature of reality. a guru can be a person, like a teacher, especially but not necessarily a spiritual teacher, or a life event, a situation that makes you sit up & take notice, that shifts your perception, enlightens you up.
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
