it’s wednesday (again!), february 10, & moon is in capricorn, in the starspace called shravana. word of the day: “stellium.” a stellium is basically a pileup of planets in one sign, & as i mentioned yesterday that pileup is happening in capricorn, which is ruled by saturn, who is our ability to be with & process fear, to be disciplined & create boundaries, to focus & commit. saturn is a hard taskmaster & demands that we deal with our life through practical means, that we don’t just think about what we want to do, but that we actually do it through skillful means. with that stellium under the sway of capricorn energy, we are all feeling that hard right now, which means the time is ripe to seize the plow or pen or whatever & get ‘er done!
the word “shravana” comes from the verbal root shru (श्रु), which means to listen. it is only through deep listening that we can ever know what is true. when we get quiet enough, we can hear that still, small voice within. whether we call it god or source or intuition or truth or guidance or pure essence, that still small voice within is “that part of ourselves which is not object, but subject, which is not knowable; it is just be-able,” said ram dass. can you touch your pure beingness today?
it’s another split-tithi day, with the moon in its fourteenth phase this morning & its fifteenth this afternoon, which means there’s a new moon on the horizon—literally. after shedding the last shards of what doesn’t serve us this morning, we may be feeling empty, depleted emotionally & mentally this afternoon. so honor that spaciousness, in which total possibility is actually present.
mercury, who owns wednesday, is the planet of communication & is retrograde now. which means we are invited to look within to how we are communicating with ourselves & others. & with moon in shravana, the asterism of deep listening, we are reminded that to be good communicators, we must be good listeners, & to be good listeners, we must be tolerant of the ideas of others, be open-minded & receptive, so we can actually hear what they are saying. how are you doing with that?
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. it is my hope that the daily bliss can help you align with the day’s cosmic energy & find a little more bliss; that it inspires you to enlighten up a little more each day.
