it’s friday, february 12, & moon is in aquarius in the starspace called shatabhishak. at the evolutionary stage of aquarius, we begin to let go of “me & mine” & hew toward “thee & thine”; the universal takes precedence over the individual as we get a sense of the interconnectedness of all beingness—whether animal, vegetable, or mineral—& grok that what’s good for all (thee) is ultimately good for the individual (me), as we begin to see ourselves in others & are ready to take one for the team, offer up to the team, to team world, team planet earth.
as richard freeman & mary taylor write in “when love comes to light,” their exquisite translation of & commentary on the bhagavad gita, “it is experiencing commonality rather than focusing on differences that reveals the path of skillful action that each of us must take moment by moment if we are to see clearly what is arising & thereby see others.”
shatabhishak means “100 physicians” or “100 medicines” & supports us in finding an alt pathway to our healing: sometimes we have to see 100 doctors or try 100 traditional therapies (ok, maybe not 100, but you get the idea) before we go off-road & find that modality that actually works, that actually restores us to health. it suggests that the traditional way is not always the best way (don’t get me started!). if what you are doing isn’t working, start getting out-of-the-box curious.
the first lunar day becomes the second around noon mountain time, both of which encourage creativity, starting something new, especially something that is sourced in love, in devotion.
friday is ruled by venus, the party girl (or guy actually, since all planets are considered male—hey, i don’t make the rules!) in our solar system, & venus just wants to have fun, especially, but not necessarily, if it involves others, especially, but not necessarily, our beloved—hey, valentine’s day & singles awareness day are both sunday! it’s good to remember that we have to totally & absolutely love ourselves, be totally & absolutely capable of & enjoy hanging out with just ourselves in order to be totally & absolutely in relationship.
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. it is my hope that the daily bliss can help you align with the day’s cosmic energy & find a little more bliss; that it inspires you to enlighten up a little more each day.
