it’s tuesday, february 14, & moon is in scorpio, in the starspace called anuradha. in the environment of scorpio, we can get stuck, cling to our darkest, most paranoid, thoughts, spend too much time in the deepest nooks & crannies of our psyche, worry ourselves sick about what usually turns out to be a nothing burger.
“no amount of anxiety makes any difference to anything that is going to happen.”—alan watts
right?!
anuradha is ruled by mitra, the divine friend, & brings a focus to what & whom we are devoted to. devotion is a positive kind of clinging. the question is whether we are in right relationship, whether we are devoted to honoring the other & being honorable ourselves, which begs the question of whether we are in the flow of love, are tapping into our divine essence, or not.
it’s the ninth lunar day, the ninth phase of the waning moon, so, yeah, potentially more clinging! in this case beware of clinging to toxic emotions, coiling around them like a serpent. rather, use serpent wisdom to, as scorpio also invites us to do, transform the poison into wisdom. one way to do that is to ask why we’re having those feelings or thoughts, what they want to ask ourselves to address in ourselves, what lessons they want to teach us. if we’re having those thoughts/feelings about another, we get to ask ourselves whether that person is bringing out our highest or not, is benefic or malefic.
tuesday is ruled by fiery mars. use his energy to, as rumi said, “set your life on fire. & seek those who fan your flames.”
bonus track: we all know it’s valentine’s day, which is very venus-y, but may not know that venus, planet of love & relationships, is moving into pisces tomorrow, where it will be exalted (feeling powerful) & be joining jupiter, who rules pisces & will thus be giving venus an extra boost of power for the next few weeks. this transit happens only once every twelve years (!) & will be especially awesome for gemini, virgo, sag & pisces ascendants, but we can all benefit relationship-wise if we remember that “love is patient, love is kind. … it does not dishonor others. … it always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres … never fails.” (1 corinthians 13.4-8)
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
