it’s wednesday, february 16, & we have a full moon in leo, in the starspace called magha. leo, the king of the jungle, vibrates with the frequency of our individual power, of the power of the king/queen/quing, of feeling our sovereignty over our life, over the realm we rule. the full moon in leo is opposite the sun in aquarius, which vibrates with the frequency of the collective, of humanity, of our global realm. the sun shines its light out out out, the moon reflects that light. so we are being asked to reflect on how we are using our individual power, whether we are using it to plump up our egos or to improve the world, our global realm. a good king/queen/quing serves the greater good, not their own self-interests. we are being asked to consider whether when we stand in our own power we are doing so with a sense of responsibility for how we are wielding it, for its consequences, for what future we are birthing as a result.
magha is ruled by the pitris, our ancestors, & brings the lesson that, as somni 451 says in “cloud atlas,” “our lives are not our own. we are bound to others, past and present. and by each crime and every kindness, we birth our future.” we didn’t get here by ourselves, but by the grace of all those who came before us, &, yes, by the karma we laid down in past lives. magha asks us to honor our forebears, show our gratitude for all they did to allow us to be who we are today. they may not have done it perfectly, but they did the best they could with what they had & we are blessed b/c of it. the best way to continue to receive the blessings of the ancestors is to show our gratitude by being all we can be, not take their sacrifices for granted, not waste them. this, in turn, will purify, heal, our ancestral karma, which is a blessing for our entire lineage.
wednesday is mercury’s day. mercury is the part of us that seeks information so we can discern the truth & share our discoveries with others. as somni 451 also says in “cloud atlas” (yes, one of my favorite movies!), “truth is singular. its ‘versions’ are mistruths.” it’s a good day to feel into the connection between sovereignty & truth.
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
