it’s thursday, february 16, & moon is in sagittarius, moving from the starspace called mula around 10:30 a.m. mountain time into purvashadha. sagittarius vibrates with the frequency of the hope that comes from zooming out on our lives & seeing the big picture. sag, like thursday, is ruled by jupiter, who is called “guru” in sanskrit, the one who dispels (ru) our darkness (gu), our misperceptions about ourselves & reality, our limiting beliefs. our beliefs create a container, a paradigm, for our lives. beliefs aren’t facts—they need to be tested, questioned, & so do our teachers & their teachings. our container gets to be flexible & shape-shift accordingly, which means we get to be open to possibility, the possibility that what we believe no longer holds water. how are your beliefs holding up?
mula (see yesterday’s post for more) invites us to get rid of what no longer serves (maybe a belief or two?) to make space for what will, to declutter our heads & hearts & maybe even our physical space. purvashadha invites us to plant the seed for the precious thing we want to birth in that newly created space, the thing inside us that is dying to be born, that will not stop bugging us until it is, the thing that we will regret not manifesting when we leave this planet. what’s that thing for you?
it’s the eleventh lunar day, the eleventh phase of the waning moon, which supports us in doing the practices that take us closer to god, as does the guru, that take us closer to our pure beingness, like fasting & meditation.
“we have a tendency to think in terms of doing & not in terms of being. we think that when we are not doing anything, we are wasting our time. but that is not true. our time is first of all for us to be. to be what? to be alive, to be peaceful, to be joyful, to be loving. & that is what the world needs most.”—thich nhat hanh
thursday is ruled by jupiter, who gives us the wisdom to know who we are at the deepest level. it’s a good day to connect to teachers & teachings, to honor our teachers, tell them how grateful we are for their efforts, ask them to keep teaching, perhaps as we meditate.
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
