it’s wednesday, february 23, & moon is in scorpio, in the starspace called anuradha. scorpio vibrates with the frequency of fear: false evidence appearing real. let’s just say that on the frequency spectrum, fear is at one end & love at the other. so, yeah, we can be dealing with some pretty low-vibe energy while moon is in the environment of this emotionally stormy sign. “can” is the operative word. we don’t have to. we have a choice. we can watch what arises without getting pulled under. we can let facts be our lighthouse. & we mustn’t, as pema chodron says, let others pull us into their storm.
anuradha—well, what to say about an asterism infused with the pure, devotional love of radha, krishna’s great good friend? well, that’s just it! this asterism brings a lesson about loving devotion, about what & whom we are devoted to, or whether we really are or not, whether we are or are not fully in. radha is said to represent the individual soul, krishna god. when we see god in everyone, we dissolve otherness. how would you engage with the people in your life if you really saw them as god? why not practice doing that today!
it’s the eighth lunar day, the eighth phase of the waning moon, which supports creativity. everything in the universe is made up of the three gunas & five elements: the recipe for a rock is just different from the recipe for a good espresso, & my espresso this morning, which i’m drinking right now, is spiked with lion’s mane mushrooms & mct oil, & yours may not be, probably isn’t. what’s the perfect recipe for what you want to create today?
wednesday is ruled by mercury, who gives us our discriminating intelligence, which allows us to gather data so we can make informed decisions. b/c an uninformed decision isn’t really a decision. a choice isn’t really a choice if we don’t have all the facts. how can we say yes or no to something if we don’t know what we are really saying yes or no to?
