it’s thursday, february 4, & moon is in libra, in the starspace called vishakha. libra is the seventh sign of the natural zodiac, which equates with the seventh house, the house of relationships, & is represented by a (hu)man walking through a marketplace carrying a scale, making sure it is always balanced, that there is always harmony in interpersonal dealings. libra wants everyone to be happy, to be in-joy, & to do so with others. the shadow side of libra is the inclination to cause mischief, upset the cart of equal give & take, only to right it, be the one to come to the rescue of harmony.
vishakha is the only asterism ruled by two deities, indra & agni, the king & the priest, both of whom are at the height of their powers & got there because of their ambition. this energy supports us in going to the next level in relationships, whether romantic or business, & career—we just have to make sure that our goal is aligned with our highest purpose, not with our ego, with the craven desire for power,
it’s the eighth lunar day, the eighth phase of the waning moon, which is ruled by the vasus, the creative forces of the universe who bring us what we need based on what we value, who allow it to manifest through us. if you don’t know what you value, look around you: what is present in your life will mirror your values back to you.
thursday is ruled by jupiter, who is in the starspace called shravana through march 4. shravana invites deep listening in order to mine eternal wisdom, which also comes from guru (aka jupiter) through teachings. this is a good day (time!) to connect to sacred teachings, to chant & study scripture or other wisdom sources, to reconnect to your spiritual roots, to re-up your meditation practice, or to start one. if you’ve been thinking of taking a meditation course, or pursuing another avenue of spiritual study, now is the time.
