it’s wednesday, february 8, & moon is in leo, in the starspace called uttaraphalguni, which will support & transport it into virgo this afternoon. in the environment of leo, we feel into our sovereignty, our personal power, we enjoy strutting on the stage of our life, playing a starring role, being in the spotlight. in the environment of virgo, we come down off our throne, step away from the light, realize that our sovereignty is supported by some pretty quotidian tasks, & we spend time backstage, so to speak, attending to the minutiae, making sure all the pulleys & levers are in working order, that the scenery isn’t torn, the costumes don’t need mending, the props are prop worthy. in short, we make sure the foundations of our kingdom are solid.
uttaraphalguni is ruled by aryaman, the god who blesses the contracts we make with others when they’re based on the highest alignment of all parties. with venus, planet of relationships, now in the starspace called purvabhadra, we have a great good opportunity to purge & cleanse, raise the spiritual IQ of our relationships, to confront & reconcile. if reconciliation is possible, we can recommit to our contract; if not, we can negotiate our way out of it. uttaraphalguni reminds us that a partnership—whether romantic, business or platonic—is only a true partnership if it works for both (all) parties.
it’s the third lunar day, the third phase of the waning moon, which (like mercury, who rules wednesday) supports us in being flexible, being able to go with the flow, bend like a tree in the wind. if, say, your friend unexpectedly invites another friend to the dinner you thought was going to be a twosome, no big deal! if one of your best friends forgets to show up for a zoom call, no big deal! & we can gently (mercury is a gentle planet) communicate (mercury is a talker!) how all that makes us feel if we feel the need to do so.
wednesday is owned by mercury, who is hanging out in practical, realistic, businessy capricorn now. it’s a good day to use mercury’s detail-oriented superpowers to organize your life—get those spreadsheets filled in, correspond to tie up loose ends, check stuff off your agenda.
