it’s thursday, may 7, moon is in sagittarius, in the starspace called uttarāṣāḍha, which will support & transport it into capricorn early this afternoon, it’s the sixth phase of the waning moon & jupiter’s day.
the transition from sagittarius into capricorn is one from inspiration & high hopes into practicality & seriousness, from dreaming it into building it so “they” will come. not to pop your bubble, but everything starts with a dream, from an idea swirling in the ether, & if we don’t take positive action steps to bring it down to earth, root it, it will just drift off into space like george clooney in gravity.
our minds birth lots of possibilities (or is it just me?!), not all of which are truly viable, not all of which truly resonate on a soul level, but if something does for you, don’t let it slip away.
do you feel a gravitational pull toward something?
uttarāṣāḍha, which means “final/ultimate victory,” is the complement to yesterday’s pūrvāṣāḍha, invites us to finish what we started. in pūrva we took first steps, made a foray into manifesting our soul’s desire, that which we feel compelled to do, must do before we leave this planet, lest we feel our life has been incomplete; now we get to take the last steps.
this nakshatra is ruled by the vishvadevas, basically all the gods in the universe, all the powers at our disposal, which, um, aren’t out there but in here—in hindu cosmology the gods represent parts of us, are not separate from, different from, us.
what power do you need to tap into? perhaps you need to delegate, reach out & ask for help from someone? not always easy under the sway of this fiercely independent energy—good way to get over ourselves, feel a little vulnerable!
the sixth lunar day (tithi), the sixth phase of the waning moon, is ruled by agni, the god of sacred fire, & has the quality of passion, i.e., creative fire, lights us up with the confidence—yesssss!—to make our dream as real & tangible & indestructible as a diamond, which is formed under intense heat & pressure.
what are you hotted up about?
thursday is ruled by jupiter, who gives us a code of ethics by which to live, first principles that apply in all situations, not that we recalibrate depending on context, depending on personal bias, kind of like the constitution.
