it’s thursday, january 13, & moon is in taurus, in the starspace called rohini. the environment of venus-ruled taurus is where we feel into our most sensual, material, embodied existence, where we delight in the experiences our senses give us. venus—who governs art & beauty & sex & relationships—is retrograde, so this is a time for us to reassess our, well, relationship with relationships & beauty.
on a recent podcast, the revolutionary-evolutionary zach bush emphasized that we are here, on the planet, to see beauty everywhere—&, i would add, to add beauty to it. as macy gray sings, “there is beauty in the world / so much beauty in the world / always beauty in the world / so much beauty in the world.”
do you see the beauty in the world? are you looking for it? are you creating beauty in the world?
rohini is ruled by brahma, the creator of all that is, who also, of course, created rohini & then, um, fell in love with her. which was, um, a tad inappropriate?! even tho brahma was a god, he was punished for his indiscretion. &, oh, yeah, rohini was subjected to a lot of jealousy by brahma’s other daughters, aka the other asterisms. rohini brings a lesson about attachment—to our creations, to sensual pleasures &, yeah, the nature of jealousy.
it’s the twelfth lunar day, the twelfth phase of the waxing moon, which is related to the sun, our soul(ar) battery. the sun never goes out, shines its light 24/7, even if we don’t see it. as above, so below: our inner sun keeps us lit from within, illuminates our path so we can see where we’re going.
thursday is ruled by jupiter, who brings grace to our lives. we can’t order up grace from amazon; it’s a gift mysteriously & miraculously bestowed on us. it’s like an angel tapping us on the shoulder or a fairy waving their wand over us. but just as the more beauty we see, the more beauty there is to see, the more we recognize grace for what it is, the more it will show up in our lives.
“i do not understand the mystery of grace—only that it meets us where we are and does not leave us where it found us.”—anne lamott
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
