it’s friday, january 15, & moon is in aquarius, in the starspace called dhanishtha. dhanishtha is the cosmic bridge between capricorn & aquarius, gently expanding our concerns about our own immediate world (capricorn) into those about the greater world (aqurius). aquarius incites our sense of social responsibility, reminds us that we all have the ability, & the duty, to improve the world around us, that we can each do something–whether it’s donating food or money to a food bank or calling government reps to hold them accountable or going full greta thunberg.
dhanishtha can be translated as “wealthiest,” as in being wealthy (dhan) in body, mind & spirit, in all ways. & this asterism is represented by either a drum or a flute, both of which are hollow & suggest that our abundance is connected to whether we are in the flow of the music of the universe, whether our instruments are in tune & our playing is synchronized. the key to manifestation is to hit the right note at the right time, to play in unison with the universe.

it’s the third phase of the waxing moon, the third lunar day, which invites us to be flexible, find innovative solutions to solve problems, think outside the box, entertain different perspectives. try changing the lenses on your glasses & seeing how the world looks as a result. remember: magic is just a shift in perception.
venus rules friday. venus loves creature comforts & sharing those comforts with other creatures. venus is social & sensual, loves art & music & nature & good food & bubble baths & massage &, well, you get the picture. it’s a good day to, say, ski with friends & then cook up an awesome feast together & eat it in front of a roaring fire & maybe take in a movie with dessert. if you’ve got access to a hot tub, so much the better!
