it’s tuesday, january 17, & moon is in scorpio, in the starspace called anuradha. scorpio vibrates with the frequency of our worst fears & paranoias, b/c moon is debilitated there, meaning it feels the least stable, the least grounded, doesn’t have its wits about it. not surprising b/c scorpio is a water sign & moon is watery enough as it is, & the waters of scorpio are big & choppy, toss moon, which is our consciousness, about like a boat in the middle of a stormy sea. the invitation here is to be the witness to what arises & ask ourselves what lesson wants to be learned, to not cling to each thought or emotion, but to let go, surrender; if we’re going to cling to anything, let it be the wisdom that results.

anuradha is ruled by mitra, the divine friend, & reminds us of the power & clarity that comes when we are as devoted to god, to the divine, as radha was to krishna. what or whom are you devoted to? does that devotion raise your vibration or lower it, bring you closer to or farther away from god?

it’s the eleventh lunar day, the eleventh phase of the waning moon, which supports spiritual practices, of which meditation is surely key. as the dalai lama said, “if every eight-year-old in the world is taught meditation, we will eliminate violence from the world within one generation.” how? b/c how we think affects how we feel, how we feel affects how we think, & thus see & experience the world, which affects how we act. “if we wake up every morning feeling anxious or thinking that life is a struggle, then our brains will initiate the production of stress hormones … which inevitably shut off our immune system, our growth, & our ability to think,” says developmental biologist bruce lipton.

tuesday is owned by mars, our inner action hero, who is sending his fiery gaze to both mercury & the moon today—yikes! i’ve said it before, but it bears repeating today: let’s make sure anger isn’t what fuels our words & actions!

with moon in its sign of debilitation & getting stared down by mars, i’d say it’s an especially good day to calm our minds with meditation, don’t you?!

& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
